Hello,
In the first part of class today, you talked about the paragraphs you wrote for homework (great job!) and practiced creating sentences using adjectives and adverbs. You also completed Trellus's Career/Future Survey. After that, we discussed the word intelligence, learned some synonyms and near-synonyms of this word, and learned how to skim a text. We read the text "Many Ways to be Smart" and discussed two of the nine ways in detail. We also worked on the words you were unfamiliar with. We'll continue with the topic on Monday. For homework: (1) complete p. 12 of the white workbook; (2) read the text on p. 12 of the purple textbook again and write two paragraphs about your primary intelligence. Specify why you think a particular intelligence is your primary intelligence by giving examples. Write your thoughts in the document I've created for you. Be prepared to talk about your primary intelligence on Monday.
